The Truth About Love

I am going to look in your eyes and whisper that I love you. And then I am going to tell you some more lies. I will gently wrap my arms around you from behind and tell you that you are special. I will tell you some more lies and you will love the whole thing.

You see , love has nothing to do with either truth or honesty. Love is an honest endeavour to lie and a delightful experience listening to those lies. You keep those bits of lies in your head and weave a dream of your own. You write, you sing , you talk about it. After a few generations, for someone else just like you, it will be a reality. Love is a fiction, fiction is a lie. Lies make life liveable.

সিলেবাসের বাইরের

তোমার জীবন, তোমার

সিলেবাসের বাইরের কবিতা,

পড়েছ কি ?

মহাপুরুষদের বাণী তোমার

জন্য নয়,

তাঁরা হাঁটেননি তোমার পথে,

তাঁরা লড়েননি তোমার লড়াই ।

তোমার রক্ত, তোমার ঘাম,

তোমার চোখের জলের দাম,

কারুর জানার কথাও তো নয় ।

থাকনা তোমার নিজের কিছু ,

গোপন কিছু ।

তোমার কতটা রক্ত জল,

চোখের জল আর বুকের ভয় মিশিয়ে

তৈরী হয় একান্তই তোমার, একটা

ঝিকঝিকে ছোরা –

এই তথ্য তোমারই থাক ।

সব মুখাগ্নি কি আর শ্মশানে হয় !

একটা করে মুখাগ্নি , তোমার

বয়েস বেড়েছে বছর দশ,

আয়না জানেনা, তুমি জানো ।

সিলেবাসের বাইরের

এই কবিতা তোমার ।

একান্তই তোমার ।

একে গোপন রাখো, রাখাটা দরকার ।
